Spring Clean!

Hi everyone, I bet you've been wondering where I've been since Christmas! Sadly I haven't been on a glamorous holiday, I've been hiding away to work on my nutritional medicine degree.

I hope you've had a great start to the new year and stuck to all your new year resolutions... can you believe it's nearly March? This is actually the time of year when most of us realise that we haven't stuck to our new year health goals. Sound familiar? Here are a five simple tips to help you get a spring in your step...

  1. Eat a healthy breakfast that will keep you going and stop you reaching for unhealthy snacks.

  2. Drink 2 litres of water to stay hydrated throughout the day and avoid energy zapping caffeine.

  3. Read the labels of seemingly low fat snacks, they're not always as healthy as they seem.

  4. Watch your portion size.

  5. Avoid 'pigging out' when you get back from work by planning your shopping so you always have healthy meals and snacks in your cupboards.
